Short: An interactive-online currency converter for AWeb3.
Uploader: vtnt@newnorth.net (Frank Lahr)
Author: vtnt@newnorth.net (Frank Lahr)
Type: comm/www
Requires: AWeb-II version 3.0
Version: UCC_AWeb 0.75 9-15-97
-----------------------------------------
UCC_AWeb v0.75
=======================
Requirements: AWeb-II version 3.0 -Frames Needed-
About: An Arexx script that combines the current web site
with the Universal Currency Converter web site (UCC).
This script will take the current web page and output
the page to disk, where it will be manipulated to
inclose 2 frames, which will contain the UCC and the
current site. This will allow you to see the current
site which will have the foreign currency charges and
we also allow you to use the UCC interactively.
If you are already on a web site that has frames, this
arexx script will ask you to which frame to put UCC in.
Only 2 frame web sites will be allowed. Any site with
more will not be allowed.
Why? I got tired of going to some internet sites around the
world which did not have the charge rates in my countries
currency. I am from the US, but I also deal with some
companies from Canada.
UCC updates its rates once a day. It will not be exact.
Since all banks have different currency exchange rates,
but it will be pretty close. So don't blame me for any
inconsistancies in prices.
Installation:
All files must be in a sub-directory called "UCC" in
your "AWeb3:Plugins/" directory for everything to work.
Otherwise you will have to change some of the code.
Path must be-- "AWeb3:Plugins/UCC/ucc.rexx" and files.
If your AWeb assign is not "AWeb3:", then you must change
some code in the arexx script. It is at the beginning
of the file and it's also noted for you to find.
AWeb SetUp:
This script should be run from the menu of AWeb ver3.0
Do the following:
1. Select the menu item - Settings ... GUI settings...
2. Select tab #2 -- "Arexx".
3. Press "Add". Give it a Title. Shortcut, optional.
4. In the "Macro field insert the full path to the rexx
script. Example: "AWeb3:Plugins/UCC/ucc.rexx"
Problems:
Arexx is limited in the size of variables. So, when
receiving html documents that are larger than 65,535-
bytes will cause errors. Don't worry though, there
are not many pages that large on the internet. :-)

FreeWare -- Enjoy :-)
